We came here on a Sunday for lunch and even though we arrive not long after 12h there was already 1h wait and we were told about it from the beginning. They have an area designated for waiting, and the weather was nice so we sat outdoors and had a drink. I must say it was worth the wait because the food was very good. We had Leitão to share and also the Polvo à Lagareiro and both dishes were really nice and tasty. The staff was friendly, as soon as the table was assigned to us the service was quick and we could tell they knew their menu well and how to advise and give recommendations. Especialidade principal própria da zona da Mealhada, as doses de leitão assado são generosas (+- 350 gramas) e bem confeccionadas. O leitão à moda da Bairrada é assado inteiro no espeto nos próprios fornos do restaurante e vem acompanhado com salada e batata frita, cortada em rodelas finíssimas o que as torna estaladiças e viciantes. Quem não gosta de leitão tem outras opções igualmente bem confeccionadas. Aos fins-de-semana e feriados espera-se algum tempo dada a grande afluência e não adianta marcar previamente porque a mesa é atribuída por ordem de chegada; no entanto, é avisado fazê-lo porque as doses requeridas são garantidas se a iguaria escolhida se esgotar. Há uma grande esplanada no exterior e um pequeno bar no interior para se beber um aperitivo enquanto se espera pela vez que é anunciada pelo nome do cliente. O pessoal é simpático e eficiente. Tem rampa de acesso para cadeira de rodas e casa de banho para deficientes. O ambiente é agradável e o espaço tem cerca de três anos (em 2018) e veio substituir o anterior (situado na Estrada principal) já muito antigo e acanhado para o número de clientes que foi aumentando a cada ano pela excelência da confecção das refeições.
