Delicious confort food from the Lamego region in an authentic Portuguese National road side inns style. This Inns became famous among travels in the mid 60s, looking for a place to eat and rest before reengaging the at the time state of the art Portuguese nacional roads net work. We stopped here for lunch on the way to the Douro Valley andwe were so glad we did. This restaurant is clearly popular with the locals and rightfully so. I had the sausage, bean and rice dish (their specialty) which was one of the tastiest meals I had in Portugal. My husband had the bacalhau com ovos which came with french fries. We also had a bottle of water, coffee and two pudim caseros (similar to flan). Everything was amazing and all for only 31 Euros. The waitress was very nice and helpful. THE place to stop.during travel. Very good location, service and food quality - things that a customer is looking for. There are a lot of tables inside and outside so you can choose were do you want to eat. Good parking place. Waitress was very welcoming and quick to serve the dishes, despite having full house. Their famous rice with beans and dry sausage (Arroz de Salpicão) is VERY good Quality/price is very good. Would lunch again.
