O Camponês — Restaurant in Castro Marim

Very nice location , Food was good, but restaurant was very loud, , expecially with all the regular Spanish customers. They have no respect for any of the other customers. They talk very loud to all their friend across the the restaurant. We complained to the owner, he just said if it wasn't for them he wouldn't be in business. I thought he should have told them that customers where complaining of the loudness, and if they could take the noise down a notch. He did not, we ate and had to leave because of the noisy environment. I guess Sundays are for the regulars. We woun't be going on...

A gem of a restaurant. Absolutely wonderful menu with something to suit everyone. Good helpings well prepared. We espacially like the lombinhos casa, pork fillet with prawns and clams - just perfect. Reasonably priced and good availability - although it is worth calling in advance if you need a table for sunday lunch... Friendly, helpful staff but it helps if you can speak a little Portuguese as not all of them can manage...

Escolhemos este restaurante para almoçar no dia 1 de Maio. Não podia ter sido pior escolha. Era dia de festa na aldeia de Odeleite e o restaurante estava cheio. Apesar da reserva fomos mal recebidos devido ao pequeno atraso que tivemos ao chegar. A comida demorou claro uma eternidade a chegar, veio fria e mal servida. Pedimos uma dose de batatas e uma sangria extra que nunca mais vieram... Quando chegaram se a comida já estava fria nesse momento estava gelada (por ter esperado pela bebida e batatas). Sobremesa igual... Pedimos os doces e os cafés para acompanhar com os bolos... (Não havia chávenas) Tivemos de esperar cerca de 20 minutos pelos cafés... Foi um completo desastre. Não foi a nossa primeira visita ao restaurante por isso sabemos que não é assim sempre mas... Desta vez foi para esquecer...Foram 3 horas desde que entrámos e saímos do...
