Montes Herminios — Restaurant in Covilhã

Unfortunately, was my first negative experience in Portuguese restaurants... A clear tourist trap, poor quality on the food and the service.

Ordered lamb, could only taste garlic and wine and all my meat was filled with connective tissue. All the worst cuts of meat to grill on the rocks. The potatoes were excruciating, no seasoning besides vegetable oil, roughly chopped is an understatement.

Issues with the ATM machine, that the owner refused to fix...

Restaurant opens at 7. Depending on what you order the wait can be long. When we dined in the was only one guy serving all tables so some things we did have to wait on for a bit. Did was delicious. For our picky kids they even had hamburgers. Would go back again next time we are...

Um verdadeiro perigo para a saúde pública, foi-nos servido cabrito com um cheiro intenso a decomposição disfarçado com vinha d'alhos. Pela primeira vez na minha vida mandei comida para trás pela impossibilidade de ter aquele cheiro á nossa frente, pedimos um bife de vitela para partilhar e não é que tivemos mais do mesmo, bife mal passado, como deve ser, no entanto este vinha sem sangue, sinal que não é fresco, com sabor a ranço proveniente do molho de azeite e alho que colocaram por cima. Incrivelmente até o arroz tinha o mesmo sabor rançoso. Sem sequer falar dos preços que são absurdos ainda nos cobraram o ovo estrelado e as batatas fritas, aconselho vivamente a terem muito cuidado com este estabelecimento se prezam a vossa saúde. A pior experiência gastronómica já vivida, com tamanha falta de respeito de que prepara refeições...
