What a great choice! The food was simply AMAZING—everything was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The menu offers a wonderful variety, but each dish feels like it was made with care and attention to detail. Simple, fresh ingredients are combined to create incredibly tasty meals that left us more than satisfied.

The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed evening or even a casual lunch. The decor adds to the charm, and it feels like a hidden gem where you can truly unwind.

On top of all that, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be...

Taberna do Adro is everything you hope to find in a family-run Portuguese taberna - warm hospitality, incredible food, and a genuine sense of place. From the moment you arrive, you feel like part of the family.

The menu is a celebration of authentic Alentejo cuisine, prepared with love and tradition. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the migas truly stole the show - hands down the best in the region. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly textured, it’s the kind of comfort food that stays with you.

This is the kind of place where time slows down, the wine flows, and every bite tells a story to the soundtrack of the square's churchbells as locals take their evening walks and cats pad across rooftops. A must-visit if you're anywhere...

UPDATE 2025: ZERO STAR. I came back 4 years later, and what a disappointment! The young gentleman said “You are not a priority, we have other people who have reserved”. I could not believe someone would be this rude and unprofessional. NEVER coming back to this place where they think they can treat people like dirt after they have had some success.

2021: 5 stars. Fair prices for great service. The only downside is that somehow it is ok to park on the church square, where the restaurant has outdoor seating. The cuteness and coziness of the XIV century arquitecture are killed by barbaric vehicles ;( I think restaurant owners could demand more protection of their surroundings from the local government, and put more...

This is an amazing, cozy, friendly restaurant. I have been here two times already, this time around with two motorbike riding friends and although the restaurant was fully booked, the owner went out of his way to call 3 additional restaurants in order to try and find us a place to eat. This is kindness at its best. Thank you so much. We ended up eating outside because since it was a bit cold, the owner didn't suggest those tables. We had our riding gear so we asked the owner and he promptly said "there is no problem at all to eat there if you're not cold". So we did eat here and the food was simply exceptional. Very tasty and well made, a really good experience. Once again thank you so much and hope to visit you again soon!
