Excellent typical Portuguese cuisine
We were heading to Espinho from Galicia and my wife told me that someone told her, next time you go to Portugal you should stop by O Camelo restaurant because everything is delicious there, as you imagine my expectations were high, although I had to do a detour of 28 I thought I have to try that place, we arrived at two o'clock and despite there were plenty of people, there were a few free tables, the staff was fast, helpful, we ordered grilled beef with rice, potatoes, and boiled veggies, the beef was medium rare, in short, the dish was awesome, there was meat for three people, we ate until we couldn't eat anything more, we ordered dolce da casa for desert which was made of cream, custard and biscuit as you can imagine it was delicious too, we downed the food with water and we had coffees with ice rocks to finish, we paid less than forty euros, I totally recommend you guys to...
Read moreThe restaurant looks good from the outside. The experience is not that good. The moment you step inside there is chaos everywhere, especially from the owner. He is running like a headless chicken in the restaurant and after a dish the second dish will be served within a minute. They putted starters on the table that we did not order but they charged us a lot for it. After seeing the bill and saying something about it they suddenly don't understand you anymore. The food is ok, but the staff and the way they serve and charge a lot extra for things u did not order and did not finish because of they are being so rushed is not a nice experience at all!!

Reservamos mesa para comer en este restaurante, 2 pax 21:30 pm. Cuando llegamos, tuvimos que esperar un poco. No hay problema, entendemos que la mesa está ocupada y hay que esperar a que se levanten.
Una vez sentados, el camarero nos toma nota: Moelas Espeto de calamares y gambas Bogavante a la brasa
El camarero, que por cierto, fue muy correcto y profesional en todo momento, nos muestra el Bogavante, antes de ser puesto en la brasa. 1,5kg de pieza. Perfecto!!
Nos sirven los entrantes, todo iba genial y muy rico. Llega el momento del Bogavante, y aquí empieza EL ROBO. Resulta que a la pieza de 1,500kg, le falta toda la cola!!!!
Preguntamos al camarero y no nos sabe dar respuesta a tal enigma, llevándose el Bogavante para cocina. Cuál es nuestra sorpresa cuando aparece el 'Propietario o Gerente' y nos dice que el Bogavante está entero (nuestra cara de asombro no tiene precio). Que para nuestra tranquilidad, nos descontará 250g del precio. A lo que nos negamos, por supuesto.
ESTO QUÉ ES UNA BROMA??? ENCIMA DE ROBARNOS, TENEMOS QUE PAGAR!!!!

Sr. Rui, dueño o Gerente de O CAMELO, la falta de profesionalidad y educación que ha demostrado es indignante. Tenemos recorridos muchos restaurantes y como el suyo, ningún trato tan mezquino y ruin como el que hemos recibido.
Quédese con su Bogavante y su actitud altiva. Pena de su staff que en profesionalidad y educación le da mil vueltas a usted.
