Convívio dos Cavaleiros — Restaurant in Faro

We just had a light meal at Convivio. The waitress understood us well enough to bring us a coca cola (actually a 2lt bottle to share). Just a note that the tamper evident seal was broken so I don't know which cola was in the bottle. A small platter of basic house salad followed. We ate the olives brought to the table. Not a great meal but sufficient. On paying, the waitress explained to the cashier what we had. We were charged €17. Thats the price for a complete dish of the day with dessert, wine and coffee. First of the servers where mostly rude, I saw some yawning in the clients face, and another one being sarcastic to a new client because she thought he he took a seat by himself, when the client told her that he was guided to his seat, she completely changed her attitude. Secondly the food is only worth the size, because the taste of the fish was barely fresh and almost had the texture of gum, which was accompanied by a hefty amount of garlic slices and 3 small potatoes which somehow where full of water. We are from California so we have had some of the best Mexican food in the world having traveled to Mexico a number of times, sad to say this place was a pathetic excuse for Mexican food. Margaritas were so sweet we could hardly drink them, obviously from a bad mix could not taste the tequila at all. Taco plate was 2 small tacos for between 6 and 8 euros ouch. Shells were not crispy but rather soggy, meat and shrimp were just ok. Nothing to write home about. For almost 50 euros for 6 tacos guacamole, chips and salsa and a couple margaritas each...
