I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at Mare Viva Restaurant, located next to the beach. The restaurant's ambiance and decor immediately caught my attention, as it beautifully embraced a sea theme that perfectly complemented its seaside location. The elegant and tasteful decoration added a touch of class to the dining experience.
The staff at Mare Viva were incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. It was clear that they genuinely cared about the guests' satisfaction. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes. The plates were adorned with thoughtful touches that elevated the overall dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food. The codfish dish was an absolute standout. The flavours were expertly combined, resulting in a delightful and well-balanced dish. It truly impressed me with its taste and execution. The monkfish risotto was also enjoyable, although I felt that the presence of parmesan slightly overwhelmed the delicate sea flavours. Nonetheless, it was still a good dish. Additionally, the meat dish was cooked to perfection and boasted a tender texture that pleased the palate.
While Mare Viva does not offer a specific kids menu, it would be a welcome addition to cater to the younger diners. My nephew wasn't particularly thrilled with the accompanying vegetables that came with the steak, so I ordered some chips for him instead. On the other hand, I found the vegetables to be delicious and well prepared.
It's important to note that the dishes at Mare Viva are not the cheapest, especially for the local area. However, considering the overall experience of the restaurant, including the exceptional food, attentive service, and next to the beach location, the price is certainly justified. I wholeheartedly recommend Mare Viva for both a memorable family lunch and a romantic date night. It offers an exceptional dining experience that is well...
Read moreBest meal yet in all of Portugal! This little gem, located in the seaside town of Leirosa. Family owned, the seafood doesn't get any fresher as the fisherman bring in their catch daily, merely steps from the restaurant. The octopus, calamari, mussels and salmon were incredibly prepared, the octopus specifically was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent, Francisco was amazing. This is well worth the short drive from Figueroa da Foz. Highly...
Read moreMau Atendimento. Qual é a novidade?
