What a find! We first called in just as we arrived in Castello Rodrigo after walking the G22- rather hot and tired. We were immediately refreshed by Helena’s and Joao’s warm welcome and delicious cool homemade lemonade! We returned later for a delicious toastie made with Helena’s mother’s home made bread, wonderful local wine and some homemade almond sweet delicacies. We are staying in the recently constructed motorhome parking area in the village. We walked up to Cantinho Cafe for a drink, it was so pleasant on the veranda we stayed for Tapas too. The owners are so friendly and welcoming (and speak very good English) the food was delicious and the views of the sunset are stunning. Highly recommend this...
