The beaches are fantastic! But the restaurant, beyond magic!

You'd love the kilometers of dream like sandy beaches - and then elevated to a God like experience in the restaurant.. Here every moment is precious:

The service was so much beyond normal, and as restaurant managers ourselves we know what to expect, that we got the owners to know. Hospitality is prioritized higher than anything here. It's outmost happy owners, who love to share their happiness.

And the food? As said, on the level of goddesses: every single bite is a total quality infusion for the taste buds. There's clearly a delicate creativity behind, the tastes are, in every single dish, perfectly balanced. The raw products are of very high quality and must have been critically hand picked.

As you can see on the pictures, every dish is an artistic pleasure for the eyes. And the entire atmosphere as well. Then count in the owners' hospitality and the outstanding service - and you get a taste of why this is a level of goddesses.

NB. You're lucky Michelin hasn't found this jewel yet - prices will double or triple, and the restaurant will be fully booked and reserved for a long time ahead. So I'd say: 'hurry up!'

I almost forgot: We stayed in Melides from evening till next afternoon, and as the dinner experience at Blue Melidas was so powerful, we went again for lunch - and had an experience even more powerful!

The all restaurant had only one table occupied and they sit us right next to the couple that was already there. Not good! The service is terrible, they don’t know what they are selling (the table next to us was complaining as well). About the food: the meat has no flavor and was almost like dried gum; one of the courses had ants on it (flowers) and they tried to say it was impossible (like the costumer was wrong), then saw the ants as well. One my worst experience! From the outside the place looks amazing, but on the inside was the real surprise. I hope they change a lot, especially the service and the food. Beyond any experience I have ever had. The evening began when my friend and I were looking for a late night dinner option. We called ahead to verify. Alas, google sent us on a wild adventure across sand dunes. Our car got stuck in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. The restaurant called back to verify if we were still en route and responded immediately by sending someone to tow us out and guide us to the restaurant. We then enjoyed a lavish celebratory dinner celebrating our being saved with generous portions of steak and Belgian style frites. To było moje najlepsze doświadczenie kulinarne w życiu! I nie chodzi tu tylko o jedzenie, chociaż było wyśmienite i grało główną rolę :). Szefem kuchni i właścicielem jest Belg, który zaraża pozytywną energią i towarzyszy nam w całym doświadczeniu. Jesteśmy „goścmi w jego domu” i dowiadujemy się, jak powstawało każde danie. Wypiekany na miejscu chleb, domowe wasabi, belgijskie frytki, karmelizowana cebula, własnej produkcji sos sweet chilli (what the f*** man?! 😄) i przede wszystkim mięsa, bo to one w menu Blue Meridea są najważniejsze. Jedliśmy TomaHawk Rubia de galicia (dojrzewający 60 dni) - nigdy nie jadłem tak pysznego mięsa! Chrupiąca skóra, krwisty i soczysty w środku. Obsługa była przesympatyczna, z poczuciem humoru i ogromną wiedzą o daniach, które serwują (a ostatnio to rzadkość w restauracjach, bo nie dba się o pracowników). Ciekawostka - google mapa poprowadziła nas przez leśną drogę, która okazała się bardzo piaszczysta. W połowie trasy nasze auto zakopało się i musieliśmy dotrzeć do restauracji pieszo. Na miejscu opowiedzieliśmy wszystko właścicielowi, a ten obiecał wyciągnąć na swoim autem, gdy skończy pracę. Tak zrobił, za co bardzo mu dziękujemy! Wybierajcie drogę asfaltową do Blue Merides :)

We had the most incredible lunch here! It was easily the best food of our 10 day trip from Porto to Lisbon. The service is fantastic, friendly, and the food was delicious. Try the sauces—especially the blue cheese one if you’re into that. I’d also recommend walking over to the beautiful beach that’s just down the street—even just to put your feet in!

We had the most incredible lunch here! It was easily the best food of our 10 day trip from Porto to Lisbon. The service is fantastic, friendly, and the food was delicious. Try the sauces—especially the blue cheese one if you’re into that. I’d also recommend walking over to the beautiful beach that’s just down the street—even just to put your feet in!
