Pasquinha — Restaurant in Horta

We have been in the Azores for almost three weeks now. Started on Sao Miguel, continued to Pico and now on Faial. We ate in many restaurants. Most have been recommended by locals, fine dining restaurants included. But we have never dined as well as at Pasquinha's. The wine recommendation was great too. The food was fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was great too. You won't find better lapas anywhere on the island! Definitely call to make a reservation, even in the off season (I showed up when they opened for dinner on a Friday night and they accommodated me at the one remaining table, but it’s clear that this is not a walk in place). Small parking lot if you don’t want to park on the road. Only one waitress and she did an excellent job serving all the tables. After touring the island, this was the perfect stop for lunch. I would recommend a booking as there are limited tables. The food was delicious and very generous portions. Although we don't speak Portugese we were able to easily order as the menu is also in English. The view across the Atlantic is spectacular. Expect to only have one person servicing the tables.
