A hidden gem. At first, some may say it will be a normal experience from it's cozy atmosphere. However, everything, and I mean everything, from the beginning of this experience to it's end was a surprise and a delight. The staff was attentive and deserving of praise. The atmosphere, cozy and welcoming, makes you feel at home and relaxed. The food... From some of the photos, you might believe its beautiful but may lack in flavour. You would be soooo wrong. It's a big portion of exindingly well thought, well built, charming, symphony of flavours that will make you crave for more after every bite. The soup was so perfect, we all had at least half a bowl. The cod or the beef were done to perfection as per each person request, meshing perfectly with it's sides like we haven't seen nearly anywhere else. The desert was the greatest finish we could have hoped for. We started by splitting it, we refused to continue with that mindset and asked for one each. Light, a delightful mix of textures and a heavenly balance of sweet and the flavour of strawberry and chocolate. We could not leave without congratulating the staff, the cooks, and everyone that made this place shine.

Little did we know it was a hidden gem. I'll cut right to the chase and mention the things that won me over: The coffee, such a small thing but finally a spot that can make a good coffee with a bit of milk. It's pretty rare. The warm welcoming atmosphere. With a fireplace. A Cat so it's a win, we took the pleasure of naming him Laranjinha. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING had a nice presentation, really good soup too. We asked for the meat to be cooked rare and it indeed was rare. Which seems to be such a hard thing to achieve everywhere else.
And finally special thanks to both the owners, the lady from Kazakhstan and her Ukrainian cheff, extremely kind and sincere people. We live really far away but we're definitely coming back just for...
Read moreWe stopped at the restaurant on Saturday lunchtime on our way to Monsanto. Plenty of space for parking nearby along the streets. The interior is simple and homely, but very cozy. The restaurant is clean and tidy. We ordered soup, two types of cod and salmon, as well as wine and a cheese plate. The dishes are excellent, the staff are attentive and welcoming. The emphasis is not on the number of customers, but on the quality of the food and service. I recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the restaurant staff, you...
