We booked to have Christmas lunch at least three months before we travelled to Portugal. We hadn't been before but it was suggested on a local forum, we arrived at two pm and the place was busy, the first thing we noticed was the lack of Christmas cheer, no music, tables had a couple of wrapping paper bows on them, but that was it.
Menu had a choice of three starters mains and dessert, 45 euro a head, cheap compared to the UK but still over 200 euro for a family of four, we felt it was rushed and with little attention to detail to make it feel like a Christmas treat, the food was OK, but lacked taste and portions were tiny, we were in and out in less than two hours, another table actually had to ask for some music to be played, overall we thought the staff were happy to take the money, but just didn't want to be there, for that reason, we...

The new team, I don't think have ever been to a restaurant let alone run one. The service was poor, wine wasn't chilled, food was rubbish with around 10 minutes between the first meal arriving at the table and the last, there was only 4 of us. The tables either side of ours left their desserts, they must have been rubbish too.
My advice to the new owners, go to Tasca 26, Mastergrill, O Caserão, Pedras Amarellas, any one of the reasonably priced, great restaurants in the area, experience the great food, excellent staff, top service......

Outside seating , tastefully decorated. Barbeques and live music for a set price on Fridays. We went on Tuesday evening. Had smoked salmon dish on a kind of rosti wth side salad starter. Main course tenderloin of lamb with red wine and garlic potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
