Never judge a book by its cover! I’ve been to Lagos many times and this restaurant is situated on a site that is, let’s say a bit dishevelled but on my last night last year, I couldn’t get over the amount of cars parked outside and the volume of local customers so we it was top of my list to book this year. We were given an inside table in a beautiful spotlessly clean dining room. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and the level of service delivered by Bikash was at a fine dining level. He was knowledgeable on wine and guided us on how much kg of shrimps and fish we should order for our family. He was very pleasant and full of chat despite being very busy. Our food and wine was amazing, desserts were delicious and there were lollipops and an after dinner drink for the entire family. The atmosphere was buzzy and happy and the staff were all super efficient under pressure. We loved it, well done on running a super operation - continued success to you! FYI - be sure to book, there are queues! Very keenly priced for the quality of food and...
Read moreThe restaurant is a little bit out of the city in the Harbour, but it’s a nice walk. The evening started nice, with the server who was very friendly. The clams where very good, but the fish soup was pretty disappointing. While it tasted like fish and the fish in the soup had good consistency, the soup was just boring. It lacked of spice (even after putting salt and pepper into it). Some garlic or paprika could have made the soup great. Then the banana fish: Interesting and good consistency, but also pretty boring. Really poorly spiced. A little curry or some more spices could have made this dish perfect. Also the side dishes weren’t good. We got salad on the same plate and when we would use oil ore something else to make the salad eatable, it would reach the food. Salad is just not really a good side dish and if you choose to serve it, at least do it on a separate plate. The wine was good. Overall a disappointment. Especially also because of...
Read moreThe dinner was absolutely fantastic and our server was so amazing. Food was spectacular and probably the best meal we’ve had at Lagos. We ordered the all you can eat fish (ate 5 in total with 4 different options to choose from - golden bream was the best) and the boneless pork ribs (entremeada) and we both really enjoyed our meal. The dessert options were amazing and we loved our cakes. My friend is gluten free and allergic to certain fishes so it was great to see that our server was patient to explain which items on the menu had milk etc. We had berries cheesecake and the traditional fig cake and both were spectacular but I’m pretty sure all the desserts would’ve been amazing.
Wonderful experience and would definitely come again if I come back to Lagos.
Price varied for us my friend paid €16 whilst I did €25 given the difference of...
