We kicked off the night in grand style with a Porn Star Martini and the refreshing Mojito de la Passion, which perfectly set the stage for what was to come. Each cocktail was a masterpiece, perfectly balanced and utterly delicious.
For starters, our choices couldn't have been better. The Tiger Prawns were succulent and bursting with flavor, and the super fresh Ceviche was an explosion of freshness on the palate. But the real surprise was the duck croquettes with orange mayonnaise – an original and absolutely addictive combination!
For the main course, the quality of the ingredients and the mastery of the cooking truly shone through. The Premium USA Sirloin with chimichurri was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, while the Turbot steak with gremolata was delicate and divinely flavorful. The sides elevated the meal even further: the creamy spinach, the sautéed mushrooms with brandy, and the potato dauphinoise were simply divine, perfectly complementing each dish.

Read moreWhen I walked into barbacosa, I was expecting some decent food, but what I got instead was some sort of experiment gone horribly wrong. Let's start with the strange blue cocktail a concoction that tasted like it was brewed in Chernobyl's basement. The fluorescent blue liquid had so much sugar in it that I'm surprised my teeth didn't spontaneously combust. And the aftertaste? Imagine licking a rusty battery after it’s been marinating in high-fructose corn syrup. I'm still not sure if I'm glowing from radiation or just deeply regretting my life choices. The "food" (and I use that term loosely) was a horror show in itself. The chicken goujons had a texture that made me wonder if they were playing fast and loose with the definition of "chicken." If it was horse meat, that might explain the neighing sounds my stomach made afterward. The gray steak they served was an affront to cows everywhere tougher than a leather shoe and with all the flavor of a cardboard sandwich. The chimichurri was a depressing shade of brown, and i think it had bacon in it. Then there was the corn, with something on it that looked like it crawled out of a petri dish. I wasn't sure whether to eat it or call in a hazmat team. And let's not forget the ambiance. The tables were so sticky that I felt like I was glued to a biohazard. I've seen cleaner surfaces in public restrooms. In all seriousness and at the end of the day it was vile the food was a disgusting rip off and it was a €150 mistake that no one should make please save yourself you’re money and you’re stomach...
Read moreUnfortunately our table of 10 had a very disappointing culinary experience at Barbacoa yesterday. Firstly we were asked if we would like water for the table which we did but this never arrived. Then the bread accompanying the couvert was still half frozen. This was then taken away but never brought back. Two of our party had chicken which was raw near the bone. This was returned to the kitchen but recooked and redelivered to the table dried out and inedible. The sides were just left to go cold on the table and not reheated or replaced. Everybody had a piece of sweetcorn with their main and these were all cold. One of the steak and one of the lamb chop mains was delivered cold and had to be returned. We all ended up eatings at different times. However a few of the steaks were delicious and nicely cooked. The bill was amended but it did not really compensate for the very unsatisfactory food and service we received completely spoiling our evening. Especially when I recommended Barbacoa to...
