Update: after my raving review from two years ago I went back tonight and I was disappointed. The pork meat of the espetada mista was raw. The espetada just had some fries and vegetables, no rice nothing extra. For 37 euros that was a lot of money for not much food. The desserts were tasteless. I used to visit this restaurant a lot when younger and always loved it. For some reason I didn’t go for many years and decided to try it again. And they blew me away! The food was a lot, delicious, tasty, with incredible sweet service by our friendly Brazilian waitress. Great wines and lots of choice. I had the espetada mista and the meat was just perfection. Their dessert Farofia was like an angel pissing in your tongue! I will not wait this long anymore to go back! And the price is totally reasonable and value for money! Go...

n a village with an small entrance at a side street for a first floor restaurant, you pass their impressive wine cellar to Immediately know that you are in a special gastronomic place.

The service is kind and efficient, the ambiance and acoustics are good, the menu is well assorted and the wine list is absolutely extraordinary, both in variety and especially in value for money: both wines were top and the prices cheaper than in public shop prices!!

We had a selection of starters and a main course each, which was one too many, so we took a doggy bag. We also shared two desserts with coffees and paid a total of €40 each, which is literally daylight robbery due to fabulous quality, servings and wine chosen.

É necessário marcação com brevidade, sempre cheio e com clientes a entrar e a sair. Boa decoração, adega própria. Dificuldade em arranjar estacionamento, devido ao elevado número de clientes, mesmo depois das 21h. Cumpriram as normas de higienização, tendo em conta a situação atual. Entradas: pastéis de bacalhau muito pequenos (valor elevado para o que vem), chouriço assado bom, mas com pouco pão torrado a acompanhar, azeitonas pouco temperadas, pão bom. Bebidas: coca-cola zero de lata, sumos de lata, água engarrafada do Vimeiro, mas o máximo é de 0,75. Têm água purificada, mas não pedimos. Vinhos não pedimos, pois apanhamos polícia a ir para o restaurante. Pratos: espetadas de carne boas, batatas fritas caseiras e salada, mas esperávamos melhor a nível de sabor. Legumes caseiros, mas servidos em pouca quantidade. Bacalhau com batatas a murro, salada e por cima do bacalhau cebola refogada, estava salgada. Bacalhau com cebola refogada, batatas fritas caseiras e salada acompanhar. Muito bom, mas cebola salgada. Considerámos os pratos de peixe melhores do que os pratos de carne. Sobremesas: boa variedade e saborosas.
