O Hamburguer da Vila — Restaurant in Mafra

This amazing little hamburger place is tucked in to the "downtown" of Mafra. It was quite busy when we showed up at 1 and they were short staffed due to a few employees getting Covid. The person that greeted us was incredibly friendly and humble (turned out to be the owner), apologizing for his english which was better than most Americans. He personally walked us through the menu and translated some of the ingredients for us. Despite being short staffed and busy, the burgers came out quick and were delicious and interesting.

After we ate, the owner then spent another 20 minutes chatting with us about the area, spending his precious time sharing his experience living in Mafra in great detail. We can't wait to return and possibly live down the street from him when we retire. Highly highly recommend this little hole...

O Hamburguer makes what I have to say is absolutely the best burger I have had the pleasure eating since moving to Portugal three years ago. Being originally from NA and traveling throughout, I've had the opportunity to enjoy some of the best burgers in the world, and these guys burgers honestly surpass most, if not all of them. The bun is perfect, the sauce is delicious, they use high quality very flavourful ingredients, and truly understand how to create a true "burger experience". I highly recommend going there to try their burgers, they're super friendly people, offer superior service, and make incredibly tasty...

Great burgers made to order using fresh ingredients. The burgers are a good size and the French fries are fresh and crispy- very tasty! Try the Alheira burger if you are looking for something different- or ask for a bunless burger if you are watching your waistline. There is also an option to request a gluten free bun if you prefer.
