We had a lovely lunch here on a Sunday in December. Very welcoming staff, who made us feel comfortable and at ease. Prompt and attentive service and (mostly) absolutely delicious food. Between three of us we shared two tapas dishes to start … both the filo baked feta and the spicy prawns were exceptional. For our main courses one person had the prawn and lime risotto (outstanding) and two of us had the cuttlefish and prawns. The prawns (and accompanying salad) were lovely, but sadly the cuttlefish was rather tough and bland. Two deserts were shared - an incredible chocolate mousse and a rich and luscious cheesecake. Our lovely waiter asked for feedback after each course, so he won’t be surprised by my comment about the cuttlefish as I did say this at the time. One thing that slightly soured an otherwise wonderful experience was that when I went to pay the bill I noticed we’d been charged for the tiny amount of ketchup and mayo my son had asked for to go on his chips. As the restaurant is on the pricy side for Portugal, I feel this was somewhat mean spirited. We’ll definitely eat there again when in the area. Thanks for a lovely meal from...
Read moreThis is a tourist trap, one of those places that charges extra for everything, when you order the Beef Chimichurri, you get a small bowl of meat, no fries, no vegetables and no nothing. So on the menu, it looks to be cheap at €13,50,- but when you order (soggy) fries €3,50,- a mixed salad €2,50 and garlic mayo €1,- all of a sudden you're at €20,50,- We also had the oriental trio, which came with 1 small pita from Lidl and an overcooked burger, it was so hard that my daughter nearly broke her teeth until it bled. The service was good, unfortunately they don't receive any training, on how to deal with complaints, so nothing gets done with your feedback, let alone that someone comes up with the idea, to offer any...
Read moreUnpleasant experience. Met with a friend and we decided to stay for dinner. My friend ordered a mushroom dish and didn’t like it as it was overwhelming acidic and tasted as if soaked in vinegar which in the end turned out to be too much lemon juice. The waiter tried to justify it but ended up blaming the clients taste. Instead of trying to find a solution proceeded to talking to the customer as if she was a difficult person. Very sad when businesses don’t listen to constructive feedback and don’t treat their clients with the respect they deserve. Even worse: my partner noticed the staff gossiping and making fun of the situation just behind the bar - not far from our table. We will not go back and we do...
