Delicious vegan south Indian food! I was there with my wife before our flight out of OPO airport. We had the thali and masala dosa plates. Masala dosa came with coconut chutney and sambar. The style was a bit different than I am used to with 2 smaller dosa, a bit thicker than I am used to, but crispy. Also the aloo "masala" was in a cup, but was amazing! It was so good we ordered a second one! The thali was also very good. Personally, I wish the rasam was a little more spicy, but I also understand that most people in Portugal don't enjoy full-on India spices. I loved the tomato chutney and "sprouts" which seemed like sprouted mung beans with lime? Mushroom curry was good too. The sambar was rich and tasty. Theere was some kind of smokey (aubergine?) curry that we both loved. They did a vegan red beet raita, but honestly I don't think an authentic tasting vegan raita is possible. Maybe with aged cashew milk? I don't know. The masala chai and mango cream desert were wonderful. So smooth and creamy. Archana and Suresh were very friendly and welcoming. I'll be back next time I'm in Porto!

If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, organic Indian-inspired cuisine with a touch of Latin influence, then this is the place for you! The food is delicious and affordable, and the owners are incredibly welcoming and passionate about their craft. The new location is definitely worth checking out, especially if you have dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, soy-free, or dairy-free. The restaurant offers a variety of healthy and delicious options to cater to your specific needs. Overall, it's a great alternative for those looking for a healthy dining experience. This is a work-in-progress project, they are also starting some cooking classes initiative soon!

Archana, Suresh, and Nikki are the kindest people in Porto. They're cooking with primarily organic products (no-waste approach). Their menus change each week (Mon-Fri) (seasonal cooking). If you fall in love with Archana's food, you can also try something extra on Saturday - brunches. We started by ordering two times a week...now it's almost every day. The food is mostly vegan. Some lunches are also soy and gluten-free. The waiter - Diogo, is the sweetest person! Once you enter the restaurant, you can feel the family/homey vibes. I highly recommend it to everyone! It really feels like it's spiced with love.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Nikki’s Canteen, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in a warm and cosy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Food was cooked to perfection, portions were generous, and the service was top-notch - attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.

What truly sets Nikki’s Canteen apart is its commitment to authenticity and quality. It is only truly / fully vegetarian restaurant in the area. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and passion for Indian Vegetarian cuisine.

If you're a fan of Vegetarian Indian food, or just looking to try something new, Nikki’s Canteen is an absolute must-visit. The combination of excellent food, cosy environment, and outstanding service makes it a truly unforgettable experience.

Highly...
