The leitao was tender and flavorful, the skin crisp and thin. I learned leitao is a very small pig, approx 10kg. The draft vinho verde from northern Portugal, Porto? was light, not too sweet, and crisp. What made my visit super special was the proprietor driving me to the train station when he couldn't get a taxi for me, a solo female, at 8:30pm. And no, he did not accept payment. He was very generous, considering the busy hour. I walked from train station to restaurant since it was still light. Thank you so much to the attentive and friendly staff. Too bad I'm off to other parts...
