Going through Mogadouro at lunchtime we stopped at A Tasquinha randomly for lunch. We were warmly greeted by Marco who spoke fluent English which was great as our Portuguese skills are terrible. We felt welcomed immediately. The place was busy and the food arrived promptly. The food was excellent. We had chargrilled lamb and creamy rice with mushrooms and hazelnuts. Both meals were delicious and complemented each other well. It was no surprise it was popular given the great food and excellent service. With rumbling bellies we wandered into town for an early dinner but found very little open – we were just about to head to the petrol station for emergency snacks when we stumbled into A Tasquinhas.
