Alecrim — Restaurant in Monchique

Lovely view and nice enough music.. sadly the service from the cook was embarrassing. We were warned it will take a while.. but after 5 out of 6 people had finished eating and drinking on our table, at least 1 hour after ordering and watching, annoyingly, as other tables started receiving food. So i went to enquire i was told quite rudely that ITS COMING!! So i waited for another 5mins, they handed me the wrong meal!! i told them that is not what i ordered the cook then told me i was wrong and a man decided to tell me i was wrong too! They told me i had not ordered what i was waiting for! I explained my husband is allergic to that ingredient so i am certain he requested exactly what he wanted. Another 10 mins pass and we finally receive the correct meal.. with a rude wave of the hand from the cook we left. We all have a bad day in this industry.. we do not however, make a customer feel bad for the kitchen mistake. Get a better system in place.. more staff, more equipment and more glasses! Or only allow 15...

I highly recommend this food truck. We discovered the "Alecrim" by accident, because hunger drove us here. I was a bit skeptical at first. But the food and the atmosphere convinced. The environment was so beautifully calm and relaxed with some birds chirping and crickets chirping with some good music playing in the background. A friendly service guy, really excellent juicy and tasty burger, delicious sandwiches and drinks completed the experience. What more do you want? We had 2 sandwiches, 3 burgers and 4 soft drinks - all for 30 euros with an impressive view included. The visit was definitely worth the money! - And a small toilet hut with water connection and sink is also available for the customers. This place is a gem and a must go spot for the best views!! We ordered the cheese in a bread bowl and it was delish! The sangria can use some help and do not suggest that. Prices are very fair as well.

Note: you will not see the food trailer from the main parking lot. Walk to the back of the lot and look slightly down the hill to spot it. You will take a short path down a slightly steep dirt path...
