Assador Barrosão — Restaurant in Montalegre

Had dinner at Assador Barrosão last night and it was delicious! The view of the restaurant to the lake is just astonishing. The food was even better. Ate some Salgados as an entry and they were great! The Chouriça assada wasn’t that good (definitely the worst part of the dinner). As main course we had the Posta à Barrosão and it was magicaaaaal! If you go there, try it, you’ll love it! To finish we had some pão de ló húmido and it was the best way to close the meal!

The location of the restaurante is very good. Right on the road and not far from the marveliouse lake. The food is tipical for Portugal but high qualety. The kitchen for lunch is closed by 14:15, so take it into account for timing of your trip. If you are not a local person be aware of the bill. The house speciality is the most delicious tender steak. Cooked simply with salt, served with finely cut potato, rice, and a fresh salad. Try the house desert to round of your meal.
