Here's the thing. This place is at the extreme East end of the island and it's one of the only two restaurants in town...and the other one was closed at lunch.
We got there after the bus tours left (2:30pm) and the only choice available to us was the buffet. We arrived as the the staff was just sitting down to eat. Even though we were the only patrons, they took care of us without a problem.
So the food was not super hot (temperature wise) but it was very tasty. There was fried fish, salted codfish, marinated chicked, marinated beef, favas, soup, salad and some other choices that I cannot recall.

Read moreIf you are in Nordeste, make sure you stop in. You won't regret it. In addition to a lovely view, there is a very decent selection in the buffet menu-- and if you are a vegetarian, as is my wife, you will be very HAPPY here. There was NOTHING not to like! Amazing- will...
