I honestly can't think of a worse service than the one we received tonight, starting with a disgausting long hairs burried in one of the bread service spreads. Not only did we not receive a proactive replacement or any kind of goodwill compensation, but we noticed that it was charged on the final bill.
The situation only worsened afterwards. Pedro, the supervisor, sent his waiter insisting we pay for the bread, we thought it was a joke. He changed his mind after speaking with us and realizing how absurd it was, and he also offered deserts. We were already fed up with this, so we simply requested the charge be removed. We were then approached by one of his waiters, who again suggested dessert/coffee as a gesture. This time, we agreed. When we asked for the final bill, guess what? The good will dessert is now included in the bill.
I'll cut short the long story here, but let me just say that we ended this evening with a dreadful feeling . The two of us couldn't stand one more moment there, or yet another meaningless conversation with the supervisor so we paid and left.
The staff does not know how to treat a customer, there is no communication between the staff (including the supervisor blaming the waiters, saying "he's young"), and it is definitely not a chef restaurant - Despite the fact that they charge as such!
This is not the type of place we...
Read moreWe were hosted at the Craveiral Farmhouse hotel for the weekend so we had the opportunity to have both breakfast and diner here, the former served as part of the hotel experience the later as an independent meal.
Breakfast experience was absolutely great, fresh made omelets at your request with your choice of ingredients, local cheeses and rye bread, fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, warm pancakes and locally sourced greens fresh from the garden. All served outdoors at the porch in the morning sun with the smell of burning firewood from the outdoors kitchen. Great experience to start your day by the pool.
Diner experience was also great, there was a good selection of pizzas in woodfire oven we didn't try, along with a few local and world dishes like Presa de Porco (pork Neck) and Goatling Tajine.
The green salad was clearly made from fresh vegetables picked off the kitchen gardens around the property was quite varied and tasty.
For desert there was not a lot to choose from, chocolate mousse and sponge cake with a topping of jam.
Dishes were overall tasty and well cooked, but service was a little slower. The asking price also seemed expensive for what was served. While serving sizes were acceptable and the dishes well prepared they were nowhere close to justifying the price...
Read moreFood was okay, service wasn't. There were kids playing around our table the whole time being loud, throwing bicycles behind my girlfriend's chair (and leaving them there, so she couldn't leave the table anymore), etc. No one told them to shut down or removed the bicycles. A dog came to our table as well, begging for food aggressively. No one looked after it. Drinks were brought but glasses were missing, taking another 15 minutes.
In the end, we also waited for 25 minutes for a waitress to come to our table and let us pay. We had to walk up to them for them to finally notice us... we were not asked how we liked it, otherwise I would have told you personally.
Food was good quality-wise but the cooking didn't meet our taste. Also my steak sirloin was cooked done when I ordered medium. That should never happen. Grilled vegetables were way too burned. Among other things.
We paid 85€ for two starters, two mains, water and a glass of beer, which seems fair - if it was...
