Weary from our Camino adventure, my friends and I decided to refuel at Café/Restaurante Da Praia. What followed was a lunch that surpassed all expectations, easily claiming the title of our best Camino meal yet. The staff's patience and courtesy were a welcome balm after a long day on the trail. The grilled sardines were a revelation – perfectly seasoned and bursting with freshness.

The Feijoada was outstanding, a hearty and flavorful stew. The grilled chulettas, or rib-eye steaks, were cooked to a juicy perfection, and the grilled snapper was simply superb. To top it all off, the drinks were reasonably priced and the sides accompanying the entrees were incredibly generous. Café/Restaurante Da Praia is a must-visit for anyone on the Camino Portuguese seeking a delicious and satisfying lunch experience. We highly...

Would have liked some food here, and the restaurant was full of locals. Unfortunately, none of the servers took any notice of me until I approached 3 of them after 20mins of waiting. None of them were interested in communicating with me about getting a table, not even in Portuguese (how hard can it be to answer a question with yes or no?). Even before entering the restaurant, some guy (apparently an employee) wanted to dismiss me with a goodbye (probably to show off his German skills). I mean, if you don't want guests, why run...

We could easily have missed this jewel of a restaurant. When you walk in, the restaurant has a front and back seating area. The front is a more regular restaurant and the back is a combination of bar, restaurant and TV viewing area. Service was excellent - friendly and prompt. VISA card payments are acceptable above Euro 5.00. This establishment on the Camino way would have got a 5 star rating, but for the fact that as of the day of posting did not have a Camino stamp - they hope to...

Went as pilgrim doing the Camino and got the pilgrim menu and soup came out instantly followed by a main of chicken, rice and potato and then a side of chips to share for free and was very cheap when felt like should be at least €40
