Nestled in a small Village in a valley at the base of the Peneda Gerês National Park, Paredes de Coura - is one of Portugal’s best kept secrets in the the Northern Minho Region, and you will find this small family run Restaurant Albergaria.

Narciso the owner as well as the entire staff are so extremely friendly and attentive, that my friends visiting for the first time, simply felt as if we were dining in our own homes!

They prepared us an exquisite “Cachena” steak and a delicious “Frango no Churrasco” (grilled chicken), that we enjoyed with every bite.

It is a small restaurant with a family ambience, so be sure to reserve a table in advance, and they can even prepare for you various typical Minho dishes if just let them know a few...

Mais de 1h hora de espera para comer, tivemos de pedir várias vezes as bebidas para ver se vinham, acabamos por fazer self service e ir buscar as coisas ao balcão. O serviço é confuso e desorientado. A comida é ok. As porções deixam a desejar de acordo com o preço. Vêm em travessas individuais com pequenas ilhas de comida a tentar justificar a necessidade de um prato tão grande. Comida acompanhada de salada foi uma rodela de tomate em cima de uma pequena folha de alface. Também achei que a salada de polvo não justificava o preço para a quantidade e partes do polvo servidas. Talvez o serviço e a qualidade sejam melhores em dias menos movimentos, mas pessoalmente não tenho...
