Steak House O Jardim — Restaurant in Pedrógão Grande

What a waste of time and money.

You come to place called Steakhouse O Jardim and they don't even have their own house name steaks.

They do not serve steaks, they serve chopped up beef so you do not see the steak you have actually ordered.

We were a group of 4, we all wanted steaks. I asked for the house specialty steak - it was not available. So i asked for 3 different types of burger - none of those were available. I then opted for the basic burger, and believe me it was SO BASIC its hard to fathom.

The three different steaks that were ordered - 1 rib eye, 1 sirloin and 1 T bone when delivered on their individual plates were already cut up into thin strips so you didnt actually get to see the steak you ordered.

We ordered Gin & Tonics - Ive never EVER seen a gin and Tonic looking so pitiful. It was coloured, and I dont mean it was Pink. It had lots of different pieces of something or other floating in it, and it tasted abolutely vile.

When I asked for the complaints book, which all establishments are obliged to have and provide they said they didn't have one. I questioned this and asked again. Five minutes later they came back with a brand new, un used, un written in compaints book. When you see/experiance something like tyhat you know they are trying to hide something.

Over priced, over advertised and 100% under expectations. If McDonalds was closer I'd have gone to McDonalds for real beef rather than the meat they have here.

Save your money and go somewhere with a little bit more class. Even a 2.3 rating steak house beats this place hands down!!!!!

Disappointing; I felt like the owner only counted the money and did not care about client satisfaction. The steak was ok but had a lot of fat and little meat (on the pic the fat I had to cut out). They had no sauce except mustard and ketchup ?!? Fries felt not fresh and were served barely warm. Desert was made of the cheapest ingredients. The atmosphere was the worst of it all, laud disco music, no light over our table, so it was hard to see what we were eating. It feels like they only have clients there because there is no other stake house locally. The kind servers were the only good thing...

What a treasure we found! Can't speak highly enough of the food: I had the burger Jardim which was delicious, and hubby had the rib eye steak, cooked to perfection. I followed with delicious and creamy maracujá mousse and raspberries, hubby with amazing chocolate mousse with a sprinkle of salt on the side. Accompanied with sangria, the best lunch we've had in such a very long time. Polite and friendly servers. Well done to the whole...
