Cafe Turismo — Restaurant in Penacova

Visited several times and enjoyed it on previous visits in the past. This past weekend we had friends from Scotland visiting, who wanted to watch a football game and have a few beers. Half way through the game a local entered and started complaining that we were only buying beers and he had bought fried chips and wanted the channel changed. This went on for a while with the assumption we did not understand Portuguese . The owner gave in to one local complaining. In an almost empty venue. This made us feel unwelcome. As we local residents with legitimate Portuguese heritage this treatment also puts a bitter taste in our mouths on how foreigners are treated. Visited twice. (Had to go back a second day because we thought we had been UNDERCHARGED on the first visit!) Prices were LOOOOOOOOW. Coffee, pastries, cakes, etc, all excellent.
