I had an incredible dining experience at this establishment, known for its traditional leitão (piglet) dish. The food was exceptional, with the leitão freshly prepared from a wood-fired oven, resulting in a delightful and flavorful taste. The accompanying fries were perfectly crispy, and the leitão sauce added an extra layer of deliciousness.

The ambiance is refreshingly unpretentious, embodying the quintessential Portuguese middle-class restaurant atmosphere, which adds to the authenticity of the experience. The service was both swift and attentive, enhancing our overall enjoyment.

While the prices are reasonable for a leitão establishment, it's worth noting that they are slightly higher than those at a typical Portuguese restaurant. For a satisfying meal of leitão and beverages, we paid approximately 20 euros per person.

One highlight of our visit was the traditional sparkling wine they offer, which paired wonderfully with the leitão. This sparkling wine was truly delightful and served as the perfect accompaniment to the meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to an already exceptional dining experience. (Português no final) This restaurant does normal Portuguese cuisine and uses the black pepper traditionally used in baby pig/leitão on every meat plate. My wife got extremely sick while in the restaurant after eating a part of a steak and even puked in the bathroom. The employees instead of helping started to say that "the steak was fine" and even said that my wife was faking puking. Whenever other employees saw me literally carrying my wife out of the restaurant to get a breather (because she was unable to stand by herself) two employees arrived and offered a bottle of water, we thanked it but didn't accept mostly due to my wife not being able to ingest anything without expelling it shortly afterwards. As the conversation went on with the various employees they also started to blame my wife saying that "I took a chef course and bitoque (steak, fries, salad and rice) takes black pepper" which is simply untrue as I've had dozens, if not, hundreds of "bitoque" and was NEVER marinated in baby pig/leitão sauce.

TL;DR: IF YOU'VE GOT ANY SORT OF ALLERGIES AND YOU LIKE TO BE WELL RECEIVED WHENEVER YOU GO TO A RESTAURANT, AVOID THIS ONE AT ALL COSTS. THIS RESTAURANT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE BASIC ALLERGY ALIMENTARY RULES, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS

Português: Restaurante onde fazem todos os pratos de carne com molho de leitão, não há qualquer tipo de aviso alérgico em relação às diversas comidas, a maior parte dos funcionários são mais rápidos a culpar uma cliente que se sentiu mal com a comida e foi vomitar (inclusivé culpando-a de fingir após outra funcionária ter ido á casa de banho das mulheres para a auxiliar e assistiu a tudo) que a prestar auxílio e a serem prestaveis, sendo que primeiro o bitoque "não tinha nada e ela estava a fingir" depois de realmente se provar que foi do bitoque, também fomos culpados porque "você tem de avisar e precisa de arranjar comprimidos para estas crises". Ou seja, as leis básicas de segurança alimentar contra alergias neste restaurante não são cumpridas e há contaminação cruzada dos diversos alimentos sendo que o staff não se...

Primeiro impacto ao chegar ao restaurante foi muito negativo dada a antipatia e má educação de quem nos recebeu. Pela postura (arrogante e antipática) e "vestimenta", que era diferente da de todos os empregados, só podem ser os donos do restaurante. Infelizmente causaram uma péssima impressão! Para começar, fomos recebidos de uma forma muito pouco atenciosa. Depois de sentados, perguntei que sopa tinham e o senhor (que deve ser o dono, com uma postura arrogante e antipático) informou-me que tinham creme de legumes e então pedi para me trazerem uma. Quando vieram servir-me a sopa, que vinha numa terrina, verifiquei que a sopa era de feijão encarnado com carne e enchidos. Ao questionar sobre a situação, a senhora que nos "recebeu" antipaticamente e que ía a passar nesse momento, respondeu-me (apesar da conversa não ser com ela): "ser essa ou ser a outra é a mesma coisa, essa também tem legumes!" Fiquei sem palavras!! Só pensei que esta resposta teria sido "ouro sobre azul" se eu fosse uma pessoa vegetarina!! Coisa que aquela senhora não sabia, mas também não queria saber, até porque ela continuou o seu caminho, sem sequer parar!

A equipa de empregados, ao contrário dos patrões, é extremamente simpática e atenciosa! Só por isso não dou pior avaliação no que respeita ao serviço!

A comida é boa, mas dada a forma como nos recebem, não intenciono voltar e não recomedo. Se me desloco para ir a um local, que até fica distante de tudo e que por isso é um local onde se tem de ir propositadamente, o mínimo que deve acontecer é receberem-nis com simpatia. Acho que não é...
