Retiro do Mocho — Restaurant in Ponte de Sor

Waiting 1,5hs for your food is a bit too long guys!!

Restaurant seem to be popular (on this holiday evening Thursday before Easter) but somehow the helpers in kitchen had a day off or were sick?

At 20:30 restaurant was practically fully packed but all tables only had drinks, bread and some basic starters.

At 20:45 our neighbours got their mains, shortly afterwards we as well.

Food is basic Portuguese, very nice and cheap but nothing spectaculr. If the kitchen will contnue to perform like last night, this business might not survive long - I saw that practically all guest were hungry and unsatisfyed by this very poor service (and too...

Severely understaffed. Made reservations for, and arrived at 21h30. Was greeted at 21h50, was seated at 22h05, the order was taken at 22h15, the food started coming (not all at once) at 23h10! It took 20mins between the first and the third (last) dish and one of dishes was a plate of french fries, for a 5 year old child. The place was a disaster area, when we left, with dirty dishes piled on every table. The accoustics are terrible. Everyone was screaming, to be heard...

Sit, order, wait 1 to 2 hours for the food. The waiting time between ordering and getting your food is just unacceptable - and with no prior warning of the long waiting times. The food is average and NOT at all worth the wait. The restaurant is indeed cheap, but for just a few euros more there are other much better options...
