Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery: A Delightful Dining Experience with a Creative Twist
Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery is a charming establishment that successfully blends culinary artistry with a visual feast for the eyes. As an avid diner, I found my visit to this restaurant to be a delightful experience, characterized by good food, pleasant ambiance, and a unique artistic flair.
Ambiance and Decor: Upon entering Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery, I was immediately struck by the cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The walls adorned with vibrant, thought-provoking artworks create a gallery-like setting, making it a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The lighting is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience.
Service: The service at Moz’art is commendable. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are quick to offer recommendations and ensure that your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. However, there were moments when the service felt slightly rushed during peak hours, but nothing that significantly detracted from the overall experience.
Food: The menu at Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery offers a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. The presentation of each dish is artistic and visually appealing, staying true to the restaurant’s theme. The flavors are well-balanced, and the ingredients are fresh. While the food is generally good, it occasionally lacks the wow factor that one might expect from a top-tier restaurant. However, the creativity in the dishes and the quality of ingredients make up for it.
Highlights:
• Appetizers: The bruschetta trio is a standout, offering a delightful mix of flavors and textures. • Main Course: The grilled salmon with a citrus glaze is a must-try. It’s cooked to perfection and accompanied by a medley of fresh vegetables. • Dessert: The chocolate lava cake is a delicious way to end the meal, rich and decadent.
Value for Money: Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery offers good value for money. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of food and the unique dining experience. It’s an excellent spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion without breaking the bank.
Conclusion: Overall, Moz’art Kitchen and Gallery is a good restaurant that offers more than just a meal – it provides an experience. With its blend of art and cuisine, friendly service, and pleasant ambiance, it’s a place worth visiting. While there is room for improvement in certain areas, it remains a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a meal in a creative and...
Read moreFantastic food, atmosphere and service! The food quality and preparation technique is all superior. They have a few traditional Portuguese dishes, which they present with modern, interesting, interpretations and presentations. The Bacalhau Espiritual was a delicious version of a very traditional Portuguese Codfish casserole. The Alheira Desconstruído was a deconstructed take on a Portuguese sausage with a rich history of its own (a kosher sausage that Portuguese Jews made during the 15th Century Portuguese Inquisition to secretly keep to their then- banned faith). It had a perfectly rich, smokey flavor and was served topped with a fried egg, on a bed of the best Migas I have had, all surrounded by perfectly cooked Batas Fritas. Also, be sure to try their cheese plate. It is a traditional cheese made only in the Leiria District and it was unique and delicious. The owner and host, Fernando, is welcoming, kind and generous. His love of Portugal, food and making people happy was evident in each interaction that we had with him during our meal. A 5 star review simply is not enough for this place. It is very special and should not be missed if you find yourself anywhere close to Porto de Mós and is worth the trip if...

Opaque pricing and slow, staggered service
We were 10 people including 3 children. We were served “filtered” water without being told it was charged and without being offered tap water. It also wasn’t cold. We ended up paying €24 for lukewarm water we hadn’t been informed about.
While waiting, we agreed to green olives and bread. The waiter said 2 portions of each; on the bill, we were charged 4 — €24 for a few olives and a bit of bread. The two small olive portions were placed in one larger bowl, making it look like a single portion; no one explained this. The bread was meagre for “4 portions”.
Service: dishes came out late and not together. I had finished my plate by the time my sister-in-law finally got hers; she just watched us eat. Unacceptable.
The food was good, but these bill-padding tactics — unclear prices and quantities — plus the poor pacing are unacceptable. Even after raising it when paying, there was no goodwill gesture and no apology.
With an overall 4.9/5 from ~200 reviews, we expect transparency and smooth service. That rating isn’t deserved while such abusive practices continue.
