Fonte das Sete Bicas — Restaurant in Praia da Vitória

We wanted to eat here after we landed on the island. Unfortunately, their kitchen closes at 2pm. But the owner was so nice to point us to another snack nearby, where we had great fried chicken (Snack Sorriso - on the same street).

Today, we arrived on time and we didn't regret it. They make traditional Terceira food 'Alcatra' - beef, fish, octopus or beans slow cooked in a clay pot.

We ordered one with beef and one with beans and some rice as a side dish. They are so good!!!! Real comfort food!!! Honest local ingredients + patience 🥰

One of our best meals on the island! The Alcatra carne (beef) and feijoa (beans) are both amazing, we couldn’t choose and ordered both and are so happy we did! The bread was hot and fresh, and the alcatras were both delicious. We ordered a side of rice but you could also have it with potatoes or just the bread. We ended up with enough leftovers for dinner too! Service was great and place was clean and full of people, and it was a really good value and price (note: at the time it was cash only). Truly a great meal you must try while visiting...

Excellent local restaurant. We tried this place after being in the island for 6 days, and it was the meal we enjoyed the most. We tried the beef "alcatra", a huge portion to share for two people, incredibly tasty and well cooked. The owners were very friendly, the service was excellent and very quick. We may go back tomorrow to try the octopus...
