Oh my god!!!! Amazing home cooked food❤️❤️❤️ if you wanna taste proper homemade meal by a Portuguese family come here and be ready to be blown away...first impression was already great when we came in, where the owner lady greated us so friendly and welcoming with perfect English! Then the wild boar stew came and the pork leg cooked by her mother. The pork leg was melting off the bones and I ate the wild boar stew in 5minutes!!! Yummm!!! See for yourself... We loved the choco mousse and the cacao cake aswell soo much that we missed to take a pic of the whole thing🙈 the wine recommendation was well fitting and tasty! don't miss eating here when you visit Duoro Valley, 5 stars is not enough! I'm giving it a 10! Also decor and ambient is pleasent, clean and nice,...

If you're looking to taste flavors that come from the ingredients rather than from the spices then this is the place for you.

Fantastic family restaurant with expertly made dishes that were really well cooked. We got the set meals and it was a great choice. The potato & collard green soup was hearty and piping hot, the pork was fall off the bone tender and the dessert was just the perfect sweetness.

They have a little section at the front of the restaurant that sell local wines and locally made jams which were amazing. When asked about it, the owner was nice enough to give us healthy samples. The flavors are so robust that you need just a little to go a long way.

You'll be happy if you get a chance to visit this...

This place seems to have a wonderful wine selection, however, the first two wines we picked from the list were unavailable. Further multiple dishes were unavailable including the dessert we selected, and the credit card machine was unavailable, not mentioned until after we ate. Food was good and service was pleasant, although an appetizer was forgotten and before we knew it the mains arrived and so we didn't bother to say anything. Overall, I think this place would be better for dinner, Wednesday lunch seemed to be missing things.... bonus, the drive up from Pinhao was...

A very nice restaurante with great ambience and a good service. It’s not the cheapest of restaurantes but the quality of the food is there. Had the best steak Wellington of my life here but then you have some thing that just don’t let me give it 5 stars, for example the potatoes that accompanied the dish were not good, bland and not properly cooked, and the appetizer was also nothing special... The restaurant has a nice wine list, but they all have in this region :) A must go if you can overlook some of its flaws.

We really enjoyed Toca da Raposa a lot. Very local, freshly cooked, delicious Portuguese food! We went there in January; we drove almost an hour from Regua to Sao Salvador do Mundo (great views!), and stopped here for lunch on the way back (it was in our to-do list), which was very worth! The owner explained each of the items in the menu with love and passion (in English) We had the wild boar (marinated in Porto wine), and sausage selection. Very authentic experience, we definitely recommend this place, thank you!
