I recently held my birthday party at Sol Verde Bar, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! The owner is incredibly friendly and easygoing, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The bar itself is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a perfect spot for any gathering. The owner is also very flexible when it comes to food and drink options, and I highly recommend trying his delicious picado – it's a real hit! Ok, so why the 5 stars? First of all, I hope you are experiencing sea food here, because their main thing is meat; However if you tell the chef with a day's advance, they will cook whatever you want! If you were looking for a mom and pop shop in Madeira, you have found it. We had the picada mix... Wow! Delicious and huge portions 😋. The wait was a tag long for the food, but there were plenty of beer and view to accommodate the wait. Everyone was wonderful. The view was also beautiful, although it is partial lol. Nevertheless, it was nice seeing the planes getting ready to land. Totally recommend this...

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing views with planes landing in the backdropm. The owners are the friendliest people you'll speak to. And the food - unbelievable value for money. It's all homemade, you can see it slow-cooked in the kitchen right behind the bar. They won't screw you over with bad quality here. Ordered the picado de carne which was well enough for 2-3 people.
