The place itself was nice, the ambiance was great, and the food was quite good.

Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The language barrier was a major issue. While it's understandable that not every staff member may be fluent in English, it became problematic when the waitress not only struggled with basic communication but also failed to understand the meals even when pointed out on the menu.

For instance, we pointed to the Spaghetti Bolognese on the menu but ended up receiving Lasagna. To make matters worse, the Lasagna was more expensive, and our child didn't want it, so it remained uneaten. On another occasion, we repeatedly pointed to a bottle of Rosé Brut but were served several glasses of White wine instead. The issue with the Rosé Brut was particularly frustrating. We wanted the bottle of rosé and pointed that out again after receiving the first glasses of white. Initially, we thought that the three glasses might have equaled one bottle, but when we saw the bill, we were charged for three separate glasses. So, not only did we not get the rosé we wanted, but we also didn't get the bottle and ended up paying more. These errors created a full barrier that significantly hindered the overall dining experience. Simple requests and questions about the menu became frustrating exchanges that detracted from the enjoyment of the meal.

In the end, we just gave up on the place and accepted...

Wow !loved this romantic,modern decoration classy restaurant.Beautifully located with a pond view .Nice restaurant to go as a couple as it has a romantic landscape.Friendly and high quality service.The menu has vegan options which makes this restaurant perfect.Wide variety of wine to choose from the menu.Who is worried about the price when the food is so well catered and divine!It was my wedding anniversary and this restaurant made it an extra special evening.This is my favourite restaurant and I consider this one of the best restaurants in the North of the country.I came back here and will come back when I can!! I simply adore this restaurant. They have renovated making it look even more stunning! The menu has also changed but even has more options.This menu has so much variety to choose from I have never seen a menu with so much varieties.I'm not one to give a five star rate easy when a restaurant is fantastic there is usually a reason for me to give a four star because there is always something that doesn't make me rate that high.Lago Restaurante is exceptional and it was the easiest five star I ever gave,This deserves 7 star.I highly recommend this amazing classic restaurant.I do suggest that you book beforehand if you want to...

Um jantar maravilhoso que esteve para não acontecer por causa de uma Margarida Tudo começa num telefonema com intuito de marcar mesa para jantar a dois, marcação efectuada com profissionalismo e simpatia . No dia seguinte surge hipótese do jantar se transformar num jantar a 3 com a presença de uma filha normalmente ausente por estudar fora . Esta nova tentativa de marcação veio a revelar-se uma antítese da primeira, atendimento rude e com total pouca vontade de efectuar reagendamento, dia mau acredito da D°.Margarida. Não fossem os bons feedback de dois amigos e o jantar teria passado para outro bom restaurante, graças a Deus existem outros. Dado as contingências actuais optamos por um jantar as 21.30h e no dia ja que a mesa era para 3 que tal passarmos a quatro, nova tentativa de marcação e voltamos a primeira impressão, o Sr Roberto foi de uma delicadeza, simpatia e profissionalismo condizente com o restaurante. Depois desta introdução vamos ao que interessa, boa tábua de enchidos e pão ; apresentação das sugestoes do Chef - ficamos rendidos ao T- bone , que mais tarde se revelaria em tudo o seu esplendor. Ora perante a certeza do elemento mais novo em experimentar o sushi , maravilhoso ,os restantes 3 elementos estavam num dilema alem do T- bone para 2 px, o famoso arroz caldoso de robalo e gambas era também para duas px. Como bons Portugueses pedimos ambos. O arroz estava magnifico no ponto, o robalo era maravilhoso e liga muito bem com as gambas. Seguimos para o T-bone , no ponto pleno de sabor resultante da gordura exterior e com aquele textura , uma delicia. Quanto as sobremesas , depois da descrição fabulosa do nosso funcionário pedimos quatro diferentes, a encabeçar a lista tivemos o famoso Fondant de caramelo, divino : lágrima de chocolate, tarte de limão merengada e gelado de maçã e Mil folhas de morango e Chantilly. Excelente refeição, sem duvida um local a retornar brevemente pois ficaram algumas tentações gastronómicas por experimentar .
