No veggie food officially on the menu but the staff were accommodating in preparing me a veggie plate, consisting of chips, rice and salad. It definitely hit the spot after a long day hiking. The chips were great, the rice had vegetables in it and the salad was fresh and had a yummy dressing on it. I also had the soup to start which rounded off the meal. Prices were reasonable too. A shout out to the staff who were super helpful during our meal and also earlier in the day when they helped order us a taxi to the start...

Fantastic food, good service. (They were busy with only one person serving about 20 people). We had lunch late, about 2.45 pm. They had just two options left. Succulent slow cooked lamb and potatoes, baked cod with a white sauce and bacon bits served with chips (crisps) both with side salad and bowl of rice included. Both excellent, very large portions. Even not having the best quotes on trip advisor I had an amazing experience with staff, food and drinks. Can't say its top notch but you will not be disappointed with price and quality. If you are wondering around that specific region around Estrela mountain, stop over there for your "quick" bite to eat. Pastry is mind blowing and deserts too...home made flavours...kinda granny style... Fresh pastry will be around 4pm so stand by for it...you...
