Boa Vista — Restaurant in Serpa

Today, on the way from France to Algarve, I drove here, thinking I could sit back and relax, have a beer and wine, and then eat. I arrived a little early. At 6:10 p.m. An asian looking waitress looked at me as if I were disturbing the place. Then her boss, also Asian, came over, stood with legs wide apart, and asked me quite brusquely how many people are with me. I was alone, that much was clear, and I felt so unwelcome. I have several residences around the world and eat out very often, with great enjoyment and a love for food and quality. Instead of being served and welcomed in a friendly manner, as a guest, and shown to a table, I was asked if I even wanted to eat. I have never been greeted in such an even dismissive manner in a restaurant. If you're only welcome here if you wear a fine shirt and tie, then that's not my thing. I also live in Asia, in Bangkok and Jakarta, and I also have a residence here in Portugal. But something like this is unbelievable, and I can only recommend to avoid such a restaurant with such a boastful owner. There are other good restaurants in the...

Cliente deste Restaurante desde os anos 80. Saudades do Sr.Bento Garrafão. Saudades do Jacinto e Esposa. Saudades do Zé Manel, Esposa e filho. O Comer era maravilhoso. O Ambiente era espectacular. O Atendimento era maravilhoso. A Esposa do Zé Manel, fazia uma acorda de marisco divinal. O Jacinto na confecção da Cataplana era 5 Estrelas. E assim foi durante praticamente 40 anos. Hoje com a nova Gerência, nada disso acontece. Atendimento é Péssimo. O Comer é do pior que se pode comer no Concelho de Serpa. A Empregada da Cozinha, além do mau humor, ainda parte para a ofensa. A Filha da nova Gerência, tinha o dever de tentar solucionar, mas fez o contrario, entrou de uma maneira fora do normal. Livro de Reclamações, fartei de pedir e não existe. E assim se estraga um Espaço que o Senhor Bento Garrafão, levou anos para o colocar num patamar de 5 Estrelas. Ao Jacinto e Zé Manel, as minhas sinceras desculpas por este meu comentário, mas a maneira como fui tratado pela vossa Sobrinha a Funcionária da Cozinha, não podia ficar impugne.

PS- Respoderam à minha crítica de uma maneira, igual como me trataram no Restaurante.. Depois como não conseguem, ser responsáveis, apagam. Isto é o reflexo do que é hoje, um de que em tempos foi um dos melhores Restaurantes da...

Whenever me and my family travel to Portugal by car we come back via this route and pass this restaurant. So close to the border so they speak Spanish and Portuguese. Food is incredible, staff is super friendly and the price is not bad. 100% would recommend this place to anyone travelling around that area...
