Taska D'Colina — Restaurant in Sesimbra

This is a great restaurant tucked away in a small rural town. We arrived at 12:30, its opening time, and were seated at a shaded outdoor table in the back. Our waiter, who spoke better English than we spoke Portuguese, cleaned and set our table and brought menus. He told us of an all-you-can eat special for 11 euros which included grilled slices of beef, bread, 3 different spreads for the bread, black beans, rice, olives, and french fries. Everything was very tasty. The servers were polite and interesting people. ...

The food was good but the only thing we will remember is that we got charged for a "couvert" (bread, butter, olives and cheese) that we didn't ask. We learned later that it's a classic tourist scam but we got surprised as the place pretended to be fancy and pricey, we didn't expect the waiter to steal an extra 8€ from us. We left the place with a bitter taste, fortunately the many other restaurants we tried in Portugal...

They had very few options of what appears on the menu. I had called to make a reservation, and they neglected to inform me that they had not actually purchased anything and therefore had less than half of what was shown.

They tried to blame other and give us excuses, rather than own up to their lack of organisational skills. Will not be returning, nor do I recommend as the...
