O Manel — Restaurant in Torre de Moncorvo

We ended up here because the stake house further down the road was fully booked. The food on its own is really good, nothing to complain about. But as a foreigner who doesn't speak Portuguese, it is impossible to communicate with the staff and they're not making an effort either. Okay, the man is of age, but we are fairly close to the Spanish border and a bit of Spanish is in general understood here in Portugal. In the end we had the daily plate, which was beef stew. Not really out of free choice, it was more imposed because no menu was shown to us. I assume they don't have it or because he wanted to get it over with because we are foreigners. This beef stew was really tasty, but not enough to feed the 3 people that we were; therefore a subtraction on the food. In the end a 36 EUR bill, worth it? Judging by the portion, not really. It should have been more, we were robbed of a portion and I hear that I am not the only one saying this. It doesn't mean that your customers aren't Portuguese that you should treat...

Excelente,beyond explanation on the food, had a beef steak with potatoes in vinaigrette sauce. The meat melts in the mouth. The rice pudding Excelente. Service 5☆☆☆☆☆. The gentleman who served us had an excellent approach. Very pleasant. Will be back definitely when visiting . Strongly recommend the visit. Can't show pics, nothing left on the plate ☆☆☆☆☆...

Le ponemos una estrella por poner algo. Estuvimos un grupo de 12 personas más de dos horas esperando y el señor estaba muy borde.Cuando vamos a pedir nos dice que solo hay filete así que...teniendo en cuenta que eran casi las 5 de la tarde pedimos filete. Nos trae en una bandeja todos los filetes con cuatro patatas para que nos vayamos repartiendo. Nuestra siguiente sorpresa con la cuenta. Nos cobró 15€ por cada filete además de 10€ por un plato de arroz blanco y 16€ por una ensalada de tomate(escasísima)que lo trajeron xq quisieron,sin preguntar. A los niños le pedimos un helado(nos sacaron una caja de conos de marca blanca)y nos cobraron 3€ por cada helado. Lo último el café,en una taza minúscula con forma de tubo en el que no había medio centímetro de café. No...
