O Retiro do Camarão — Restaurant in Torres Vedras

What a great surprise ! This place was recommended by some family members and decided to try it today for a party of 5.

This restaurant has lots of parking around and access is very easy, few meters from the main road .

Food is absolutely delicious, we started with three different dishes, so we could all share, then we ordered two more main dishes to share as per pictures attached.

Wine selection was pretty good, we had a wine from Douro, which was great, everything else like bread, olives, crab, was also delicious.

My favorite was the squid dish. Kudos to the french fries as well, very good.

Service was on point, you can tell the team is trained, one of the managers had an eye on all the tables all the time, very efficient and friendly.

Atmosphere was also very good, I always judge a place by their washrooms, which their washrooms hit goo marks.

Look forward to visit this...

Needed to stay the night before flying out internationally and the price of the room was $250 canadian. We assumed that there would be breakfast in the morning but that was $30. We assume that that may be included but was not. The rooms were tiny however the beds were very nice. Air traffic was tolerable but I was expecting a much higher insulation from this facility considering the cost and the construction and my previous experiences with other hotels near airports. El hotel, de tamaño pequeño (10 habitaciones), es una hospedería sobre un restaurante bastante popular en la zona.||Las habitaciones, al menos la que nos tocó a nosotros, son amplias, limpias y bien cuidadas. Teníamos un pequeño balcón con vistas al pueblo. ||El hotel está bien ubicado si viajas con coche o alquilas uno. Playas impresionantes como Foz de Sizandro a sólo 5 minutos en coche. Calada, Sao Lourenço a unos 10 minutos y las playas de Ericeira y Santa Cruz a unos 15 minutos en coche. La capital del Municipio, Torres Vedras, está a unos 15-20 minutos y Lisboa, Sintra y Estoril o Peniche al norte, se sitúan a unos 40 minutos. (Más por las carreteras, que por las distancias, unos 65 km).||Los desayunos son más que aceptables para un hotel de su categoría. Cuentan con lo básico: Café, leche, cereales, embutido, quesos, zumos (de polvos)....pero hay que destacar la repostería. Muy buenas tartas y bollería y también un gran pan.||||Por último destacar,que aunque le restaurante tiene bastante fama en la zona y esta lleno, a nosotros no nos pareció para tanto. Cenamos dos noches y en ambas comimos de manera, siendo generosos, aceptable, pero el precio bastante superior a la media de la zona.
