Churrasqueira Cabanas — Restaurant in Valença

Had the Piri-Piri Chicken for two with fries and butter rice, and a tomato salad and 2 beers for lunch. Large servings, almost enough to take the rest home. The food was excellent, and came to ~23 Euros total. Parking is easiest across the street at Lidl. The restaurant have a ramp for wheel chairs and strollers. The place is usually full with customers, and has indoor and outdoor seating. Kid friendly. They pride themselves on their baked...

We will not go here again.There was nobody else eating here at lunch time on a friday. The picanha came in chunks,not the usual thin slices and it was tough as old leather,I tried a few pieces but had to spit them out. The fejão came in a tiny pot and I guess...

A lo mejor hace 50 años sí. En los tiempos que corren no. Tienen 3 platos, cosa que me parece correcta: Pollo a la brasa, Bacalao y Churrasco. Hasta ahí bien. Pero que te sirvan un bacalao soso en Portugal es de delito. Era congelado, y sin sabor, ni siquiera sal.

Por lo demás, la mugre en las paredes llegaba al techo, decorado con cintas atrapamoscas para que se queden pegadas.... De los baños... mejor no hablar, recuerdan a esos oscuros baños de los años 50 portugueses: sucios, viejos, malolientes..... Y el equipo.... Un señor que debería haberse jubilado hace años por allí paseando/dirigiendo... y camareros y camareras malencarados.

Yo no vuelvo.

Eso si, el pollo tenía buena pinta, pero hasta las patatas fritas eran...
