Restaurante Quinta do Caminho — Restaurant in Valença

It's just over a week since my wife and I had a lovely evening at this special restaurant and hotel. Everything was excellent from the wonderful steak to the wine. The staff found some young local wine for us (we did feel special) . The staff - especially the young guy serving breakfast could not have been more helpful. Extremely nice food and service, best place we have eaten in mainland Portugal. We ate here 3 nights with a variety of meat including the dry aged T-bone steak and different salads including the burrata salad which is to die for!

We also ate breakfast here everyday as we were staying in the hotel next door and the quality of this too was very good.

My only constructive criticism is that it would be nice to have decent mustard to choose from and also Peppercorn sauce for the steak dishes, if the management could include this it...

O restaurante encontra-se num espaço tranquilo que só ao chegar já te induz paz, mas o melhor é quando entras e tens uma sala com lareira para o inverno onde o espaço em si e de seguida todos os empregados te fazem sentir como em casa com toda a sua simpatia e disposição a que essas horas que passas no restaurante sejam inesquecíveis! Sobre a comida primeiro sempre que tiveres dúvidas pede recomendação ou que te expliquem cada prato , que farás uma pequena viagem pelo inconsciente de sabores para decidires o que mais te apetece , porque todos os pratos são de 5 estrelas ! Eu particularmente sempre que vou não um dos pratos de eleição é o chuletao de vaca na brasa , não engana arrisco-me a dizer que será a melhor carne que se serve em Valença com a particularidade de vir a arder para a mesa !todo um espetáculo visual e de sabores !
