A Tasquinha da Vila is the place to go if you're into Portuguese classical home made food. You won't find anything exotic or avant-garde. If you ask for that, someone may laugh in the background if they happen to hear it. Be ready for some heavy staples of countryside lunch break "puxa carroça". All the options are fat friendly and olive oil puddles will be hard to miss. The food is served in platters or large dishes filled up to the edges, so you are strongly encouraged to bring an appetite. There is no focus whatsoever on healthy options so you better go run up a hill afterwards or get comprehensive health insurance. The quality of the ingredients is OK and everything is appetising, perfectly fitting the taste for this type of cuisine.
