The food and hospitality are exceptional here. A couple of dishes need to be ordered a day ahead as the preparation is required. Well worth it. When we were in the area we had dinner about two to three times a week and an hour away and will drive a couple of times in our two weeks to taste the food again. The new highway changes have blocked off road right in front so that if coming g from LagoS area have to turn off a couple hundred meters before now and from Sagres area have to overshoot because of centre road pylons of curve, but we'll worth this little inconvenience. I've visited this Marigold Restaurant, Raposeiro, Algarve many times and have never been disappointed. Usually book a few days ahead to given them 24hours to slow cook either chicken, pork, lamb or rabbit for 2 or 3 persons. This is mouthwateringly delicious, cooked with its own little potatoes with a large side of mixed vegetables. All very generous servings. This place is just our favourite. Every single time we come to Portugal we visit. The service is great and staff is very welcoming. The atmosphere is quiet with a little background noise and suits a lot of occasions.

The food quality is simply great and that alongside of service and atmosphere makes it a unique experience for your mind, soul, heart and the tummy of course.
