It was the best steak I had so far in my entire life. And I've tried more than 10 just during this vacation. The people there were gorgeous and nice and gentle, never recognised that before. A huge 'thank you' goes out to our waiter, who understood my allergies and my GFs vegetarian wishes. He even ran after us when we left the restaurant after he recognised that our reservation for the next day wasn't possible anymore (And his english was pretty good as well.)So i can really really recommend this restaurant to EVERYBODY visiting Saõ Miguel. The price was nothing to compare with anything i witnessed so far, we paid less than 40 € for 2 huge steaks with 3 sides (french Fries salad, rice), 3 vegetarian pettys with the same side dishes, a bottle of wine, a Dessert and some of their regional liqueurs. We've even traveld 30km by taxi to go there once again and it was brilliant. So thanks to everyone there and i hope...

For only 7 euros??? You must be kidding. The beer was also like 1 or maybe 1.40 euros!!! Authentic atmosphere, super nice owners who speak excellent English, fantastic food and their beer was really, really cold! Going back tonight. You can't...
Read moreA real gem off the beaten path. For the price point, the meals are both generous and tasty. The server was polite and friendly. The dining area as well as the washrooms were amounst the cleanest I've seen. Even the cutlery was in fine taste. The décor is modern and yet edgy. You can find the place whilst you drive down the road when you see the colorful broken glass painting on the yellow walls. One small regret: no microbrewed beers...
