This is NOT a boutique hotel by any standards. The hotel is very modest and plain lacking lots of amenities. The rooms are on the first and second floors (2nd and 3rd for Americans) and there are no lifts, so if you have heavy luggage, you’ll have to carry them 1 of 2 flights of stairs. The stairs are steep with narrow steps and a narrow door to go through. Some of the rooms face a busy street, so they are noisy. The ones that don’t face the street, get noise from loud music playing in the restaurant downstairs from early morning till late night. Our room had light window curtains with no shades so the light from the light poles outside made the room very light at night. There is no electronic access control to the rooms or hotel area and just a door key to the room. Our room did not have a safe, a phone, an iron and ironing board, and the Wi-Fi was very slow and unreliable. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress support fell apart often when we moved during sleep. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the heater and hot water worked very well. The restaurant is very nice to look at with lots of space and tables, and the service is poor (not friendly, not helpful, not attentive). The food is average with nothing special, and the prices are high for Romanian standards. There is free parking available, but it is crowded on the weekends. This place is not recommended for people with limited mobility. We were a bit disappointed with our stay, so we cannot recommend this place. We will not...
Read moreI do not recommend this facility whose owner has racist mind.
Kitchen staff older lady (red hair) didn’t like my kid climbing decorative grating next to our table while there was no one in restaurant besides two of us, and my kid wasn’t making any noises. She saw from kitchen window that my kid climbed decorative grating, she warned my kid from kitchen window, and she tought it wasn’t enough, she walked out from kitchen and warned again. I was sitting behind decorative grating, probably she saw me after her second warning, then she went back to kitchen. My kid was upset for 5-10 minutes and I explained that some adults does not have tolerance to kids who are having fun (without disturbing anyone or any object), it is only about adults character, not kids’.
If my kid entered her kitchen I wouldn’t write this comment. But it was not her business to involve to a sitution happened around tables. She should be reminded about her boundaries.
Owner replied my written comment as below, I keep digital record, which owner changed mind and deleted her/his below public comment later:
“Comrade Rahmani... if you were now in the Gaza strip (where you seem to be from) you would stop making these figures... the grills in the restaurant are not...
Read moreAdvantages: Clean rooms when you check-in and there is a restaurant on the ground floor, because breakfast is not included in the price of accommodation
Disadvantages: The restaurant and cleaning staff behave as if only the restaurant exists.
They make a lot of noise in the morning, plates are banging in the restaurant kitchen, they are talking loudly on the hotel staircase or even on the first floor, doors are slamming, any noise made can be heard incredibly loud on the floor where the location cameras are. The rooms are small, sometimes clean, other times I was surprised that they smelled bad and I was told it was from the conditional air.
We were accommodated for more than one night and no one came to change the linen or towels.
There are many aspects that can be improved because the location, the food and the coffee...
