Trattoria Monza — Restaurant in Bucharest

The food 3/5. It wasn't awesome. I had a double cheesburger, and every bite was a bit charcoaly and the meat was burnt. The sauces had a "funny" taste when tasted alone, but with the fries it was pretty good. I had better meals than this, but it's acceptable. The other people at the table also said that the food lacks taste (and salt). The service 1/5. I had reservation and so when i entered i wanted to talk with a waiter and there was one right near the entry, he saw me, but chose to ignore me and do something else. I had to wait a bit for a waitress to come and be very clumsy and fast (fast in the bad way). She showed me and my girlfriend our table (we had a reservation for four people). The table only had 3 chairs from which one was really dirty, so we talked with the waitress and she said she'd bring two chairs. Guess what!? She never came back. We waited for about 15 minutes and my friends came so i had to go to another waiter and tell him to bring us two chairs. In those 15 minutes the waitress that should have brought the chairs was taking other people's order. We felt ignored, A LOT. When we sat at the table, the waitress brought 2 food menus and 10 drinks menuamd them left. 10 drinks menu for a table of four people. At this time it was only me and my girlfriend at the table.while we were looking at the menus, the waitress came, took just one menu and gave it to another table, which felt really weird because she left the other menus on our table. After that my girlfriend went to the bathroom and while i wasn't looking the waitress took all the extra drinks menu but also one food menu. And so we were left with only one food menu for 4 people. It was very unpleasent, and it was only the begining. When the waitress came with the drinks, she put then very violently on the table and left in a hurry. After ordering the food and waiting way to much time for 2 burgers, pasta and some fried chiken, the waitress again put the plates very violently on the table. While it doesn't sound so bad, it was pretty nerve wracking. The way she talked too was like we weren't welcomed there. The atmosphere 2/5. Very crowded. Table next to table. A lot of chaotic movement for such a close space. The air was smelling weird so i guess the air ventilation system was not so good (if there was any to begin with). The decorations were nice, but i would prefer to not be 20 cm next to a random person, only separeted by a glass wall (which had a handle so actually a glass door). All in all, i do not recomend eating here. There are way better...

Ordered through Tazz, estimated time was 45-55 minutes. We called after 40 minutes because the order wasn't even sent out yet. They told us that the order was already finished for a while, but they were refusing to send out their delivery guy because "it isn't worth to send him out for a single order". Already turned off from the experience.

The order arrived in over an hour and a half. Not Tazz's fault, as Monze has their own delivery service.

The food arrived mostly cold. The lasagna was heavily unsalted and unseasoned, burnt around the edges and on top. Basically 5 layers of unsalted meat with some cheese and not enough sauce. Frankly there was barely any meat in the layers as well, not to mention the parmesan wasn't even properly melted.

Cherry on top, out of the two orders of lasagna, one was clearly smaller than the other. Badly portioned.

The pasta looked like it came out of a 20 KG community pot of food, mass produced with bought sauce, and badly seasoned. Our friend couldn't even finish her portion.

Blacklist level of bad for everyone that ordered.

Tl;dr: Order arrived an hour later than expected, food was bland (terribly season), oily, leaking out of containers, lasagna was burnt on top and on the sides.

A very disappointing experience that tells the story of an underprepared staff. We were a party of 4 expecting a good time and a fun girl's night out but unfortunately the whole experience was not as pleasant as we had hoped for.

The service was slow and the food was simply inedible. When i say inedible i really mean NOT fit to be EATEN. 2 out of 4 plates that we ordered remained untouched and the worst of it all was the fact that the sea food was still entirely raw and slightly frozen and the pasta was uncooked ( not al dente ..simply UNCOOKED). When we asked for the receipt we specified that we want to make the payment through card and received a receipt for cash payment.

Another 10 minutes went by until we managed to get the attention of the weighter and when we told him about the payment problem he din t even had the decency to apologize for the misunderstanding. All in all really disappointing experience and one...
