Talora Restaurant — Restaurant in Turda

We came here as tourists, looking for a place to eat after 9:00 PM. We found this restaurant. When we arrived, it took about 10 minutes for the staff to come to us, even though there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant. They brought us the menu. A waitress came who didn't speak any English at all. No problem—we pointed at the items we wanted in the menu. She was very kind.

Ten minutes after ordering (at 9:45 PM), another waiter came to inform us that the restaurant would be closing at 10:15 PM. The first dish arrived at 10:03 PM, and the last at 10:13 PM. We had barely eaten half of our food when they brought us the bill. They could have just told us that they wouldn’t cook for us in the first place.

At 10:15 PM, the waiters stepped outside, smoked, and stared at us, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. We ended up rushing through our food. The meal itself wasn't great either—the creamy mushroom soup was thick and bland, and the croutons were not toasted. The Rusticana pizza and quesadilla were decent. However, the meat platter was tough, overcooked, and full of fatty and sinewy pieces. Instead of ketchup, they served tomato paste. The hamburger, which was supposed to have chicken, had a strange ground meat patty that tasted like a reheated frozen product. The only thing that was genuinely good was the lemonade.

We wanted to sit outside after a light rain, staff was very rude from the moment we arrived because they had to wipe down the tables on the terrace. Food took forever to arrive, and was below average. They messed up the order and brought us the wrong food. We had to wait another 45 minutes for a lava cake and a crepe order after we finished the food. The table was filled with empty plates that they never took. Heck the didn’t even take the empty coffee cups. We broke a small dessert plate and they demanded that we pay for it. When we complained that they never cleaned the table and the plate fell down because we literally had no room on the table, the waitress was very rude. When we asked for a manager she said that there is no manager around. Ended up paying for the plate and for sure will never go back to that place. DO NOT...

The service is far from perfect: the main door was closed and the waitresses stayed on their chairs looking at us instead of helping us to the other door, the place was quite a mess from previous customers when we arrived (it was late at night and we were the only clients at that time), the waitresses were talking and swearing quite loud in their corner while we were waiting for the food then they started to play music very loud (manele) and to clean while we were eating. I know the job can be boring and hard, but they could have done all that before or after we came.
