Kivu Coffee Cup — Restaurant in Bwishyura

We came with our 4 children aged 6, 8, 12, and 14. The children ordered spaghetti bolognaise, spaghetti Carbonera, and 2 margarita children sized pizzas.

We specifically told the server to make sure NO vegetables were on the childrens pizzas.

1.5hrs later we were served and their pizzas were COVERED in red onions, bellpepers, mushrooms, chicken pieces (some with bones!) and the sauce was more like. BBQ sauce than a classic tomato sauce.

The children were very dissapointed and hardly ate any of their pizza at all.

The extra funny thing is that the adults ordered a chicken curry and rice dish and also an adult sized 4 seasons pizza.

Well the childrens pizza pizza was IDENTICAL in size and ingredients. Yet the children’s pizzas cost 3,000 frw LESS than the adult pizza.

Of course the server apologized but nothing was done to repair the errors and no reduction in price was made when the same size was pointed out.

We met the friendly Miriam in her move from the kivu shop in the museum to the one in the center and followed her to have dinner in the Kivu Coffee shop and we were not disappointed, very nice chicken burgers, a really good chicken curry and also important she got the order right in 1 go! Thank you Miriam! Also a shoot out to Eric, what a friendly man, arrangement of last minute food delivery quite late and still fresh made,...

We have spent four days in Karongi with a friend and we visited this place every day!

This coffee place adds a lot of value to Karongi and is well recommended!
